The man convicted of going to Tulsa International Airport to kill his wife and getting into a shootout with police has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Police say in November of 2021, Joseph Watson Jr. brought three guns to the airport and started shooting at his wife and her brother before airport police showed up and returned fire.
Watson shot one officer in the vest before he was shot in the foot and arrested.

Several cars were also damaged and at least two people were hit by pieces of plastic that broke off of a bus.

Watson pleaded guilty in November of 2022.
