OCSO Sheriff Tommie Johnson III said during a press conference Monday afternoon that McCain died three times Friday night, but because of first responders and medical professionals, he is still alive.

Johnson also revealed that "the gate did not impale him" during the crash, but he was crushed by the steel gate.

McCain has a broken neck, and it doesn't appear he suffered any brain damage.

Johnson said that McCain's family said there is no one to be blame for the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
