Monkey Attacks Woman On Front Porch In Carter County

A woman was mauled by a monkey on her front porch in Carter County.

Brittany Parker said she was sitting on her couch when she looked outside to find the animal on her porch. 

She said the monkey tried to get into the house and ripped off part of the door handle.

After calling 911, Parker went outside to meet the officer when the monkey came charging at her. 

Before authorities could agree on a plan to catch the animal, they said Parker’s friend shot and killed the monkey.

Doctors are concerned Parker could lose her hearing. 

Authorities don’t know where the animal came from.
