Vinyl records outsold CDs for the first time in more than 30 years, which means records are making a huge comeback and turnaround, started 16 years ago.
People love the sound, love the covers and love holding records in their hands. Some say music hits differently when you drop the needle on it.
"Some of them might have a little crackle that another doesn't, or you know it might have some little pops," said MaKayla Bearpaw, Josey Records.
Part of the pull for Bri Leaverton is the nostalgia.
"When my grandmother passed away, I got her albums and I remember listening to Liberace and thinking what she was doing when she turned this record on and danced around the house," said Leaverton.
MaKayla Bearpaw with Josey Records said she loves the search.
"Hey, I found this piece to my puzzle that I need," said Bearpaw.
And it's the story that sells her every time.
"They put those songs in that order for a reason, and records, they make you sit there and listen to that story of that album," said Bearpaw.
Leaverton finds herself thumbing through albums for hours looking for cool covers.
"Really just whatever jumps out at me, and I get inspired or excited about that I may not have that I want to add to my collection, I'll usually just grab it," said Leaverton.
Her kids love Vinyl, but don't ask them what a CD is.
"I don't honestly even know anyone at this point that even has a CD player in their car or in their home," said Leaverton.
They said records tell time, but are timeless and encompass different generations.
"We'll see like families come in and you know, grandma, grandpa, mom, dad and kids, you know, they're all buying something," said Bearpaw.
