Case Against OCDC Inmate Accused Of Rape Dropped

Oklahoma County prosecutors dropped a case against an inmate at the Oklahoma County Detention Center accused of sexual assault.

Investigators said Danta Thomas slipped away during the intake process and assaulted a female inmate.

Court records said prosecutors could not find the victim in the case, which is required for the case to proceed.

The judge agreed with the district attorney's request to possibly refile the first-degree rape and attempted first-degree rape cases if prosecutors are able to track down the victim.

Thomas is still jailed in connection with an assault and battery complaint, which is unrelated to the dropped case.
