Between Saint Patrick's Day events and championship wrestling traffic and parking will be a mess in Tulsa this weekend.
People from near and far are downtown for all the excitement this weekend. Joe Manson and Terry Maki were moving their car to avoid a parking ticket. They're both in town for the wrestling championship.
“Be careful, don't take your chance, that's why we’re going to see if we have to move it again," said Manson.
Over at McNellies, the party is getting started, and Guinness is already flowing.
“We’re up here celebrating our 24th birthday. We're wrestling in the Division one championships, looking forward to a great weekend," said Alec Hagan.
Alec and Kyran Hagan are ready to celebrate.
"We’re excited to experience downtown and have a good time," Kyran said.
Police said people need to be patient.
“We’ve been getting ready all week, it's been a busy week, we have the NCAA wrestling championships along with the Saint Patrick's day celebrations," said Tulsa police officer Danny Bean.
Streets will be closed around the BOK center for wrestling and near Arnies Bar, McNellies, and Kilkenny's for the Saint Patrick's day block parties this weekend.
“Good luck with parking, that's all we can say," Bean said.
Police said to get a safe ride, plan ahead, and enjoy all that Tulsa has to offer this weekend.
