Oklahoma Corporation Commission Meeting To Discuss SB1103

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission is holding a meeting Monday to talk about the Ratepayer Protection Act being considered by state lawmakers.

Senate Bill 1103 would change how utility companies ask for rate changes, so that instead of a hearing every few years, rates would change gradually based on performance.

AARP Oklahoma, who is against the bill, said the measure does not include rate payer protections to limit annual rate increases.

The commission meets at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
