Oklahoma Co. Deputy Dies Days After Crash In Edmond

An Oklahoma County deputy has died more than a week after a crash in Edmond, according to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened on March 10 near Interstate 35 and 2nd Street.

While in his patrol car, investigators said Deputy Jeremy McCain was rounding a curve, leaving Oklahoma Christian School when he collided into the gate. Part of the gate punctured the vehicle's windshield.

McCain was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead Monday morning.
