9 - This week the Oklahoma State Senate advanced a bill requiring children under 17 wear a seatbelt in the back seat. Currently, children under 8 must be buckled.
8 - Langston University is clearing $4 million in student loan debt. This is the second time the university has used a federal program to wave school loans.
7 - A now former McClain County jailer pleads guilty to civil rights violations. According to court documents 25-year-old Kyle Tecumseh admitted to placing an inmate in a cell knowing a gang member would likely attack.
6 - Oklahoma City Police arrest a State Representative for public intoxication in Bricktown, According to a police report Broken Arrow Republican Dean Davis told officers "you don't know how bad you're messing up." He denies any wrongdoing.
5 - A home-economics teacher in McLoud is accused of stalking and grooming at least ten of her underage students. Serena Cator is facing three felonies.
4 - A suspected Iranian drone kills a U.S. Contractor and injures five American soldiers in Syria.
The Pentagon says the U.S. has responded with precision airstrikes in Syria.
3 - The man charged with killing Oklahoma County Deputy Bobby Swartz and badly injuring deputy Mark Johns is deemed unfit to stand trial. Benjamin Plank will undergo treatment before the case moves forward.
2 - A multi-county grand jury recommends the Oklahoma Co, Jail Trust self-terminate and return jail operations to the OK Co. Sheriff's control. Among the findings, the jail hired gang members to fill open jailer positions.
1 - People will gather this morning to say their final goodbyes to Oklahoma County Deputy Jeremy McCain. He died earlier this week after being fatally injured in an crash while on-duty two weeks ago. Services are set for 10AM at Crossings Community Church.
