The superintendent of a school district in Oklahoma is being investigated on suspicion of interfering with a future school board election, according to a police report filed in Lahoma.

Charles (Chuck) Anglin allegedly asked school board candidate Gary Naugle to pull his candidacy from the April 4 race in exchange for appointment to another board seat when Shannon Lee, currently on the board, resigns and moves away from the area. Details of the exchange are in a police report filed with the Lahoma Police Department.

Information from the report has been turned over to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and to the Garfield County district attorney.

According to the police report, the reason for the alleged request was to save money on an election.
