A 40-year-old woman was found dead, and a suspect is in custody after a standoff that happened Saturday morning in northwest Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City Police said they responded to the scene at around 10:44 a.m. near Northwest 40th Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue after a witness saw a person who was dead.
When officers arrived, they tried to make contact with a resident, Jake Harris, 31, who refused to come out of the home.
The Oklahoma City Tactical Unit responded and were able to take Harris into custody after a standoff that lasted several hours.
Officers located the victim, Amanda Miller, 40, who was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound, police said.
Investigators discovered that Miller and Harris were dating at the time of the incident.
Police said the couple had a disagreement when Miller was shot by Harris.
Police said they believe the shooting happened several days before Saturday.
Harris was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on the complaint of first-degree murder.
