Charles (Chuck) Anglin allegedly asked school board candidate Gary Naugle to pull his candidacy from the April 4 race in exchange for appointment to another board seat when Shannon Lee, currently on the board, resigns and moves away from the area.

Court documents said this was done so they wouldn't have to pay for an election to take place.

Anglin has been charged on the count of bribery to withdraw a candidate, court documents said.

His bond was set at $5,000.
