Security Guard Dead After Being Shot At Metro Nightclub; Police Still Search For Suspect

A security guard has died after he was shot earlier this month at a metro nightclub.

Oklahoma City Police responded to the scene of a shooting at around 1:10 a.m. on March 18 at a nightclub near Northeast 36th Street and North Lincoln Boulevard.

Officers found the victim, Gary Middaugh, who had been working security at the time of the shooting.

Police said Middaugh had escorted a male out of the club for causing a disturbance when the man pulled out a firearm and shot the security guard in the chest.

Middaugh was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead on Monday.

The suspect fled the scene, and police are searching for the suspect.
