McAlester Officer Killed In Crash Laid To Rest

McAlester Police Officer Joseph Barlow was laid to rest on Wednesday as members of the community gathered to celebrate his life and service.

Family, friends, and officers from various law enforcement agencies from around the state met at Southeast Expo Center in McAlester to pay their respects to Barlow. Police say Barlow was killed in a head-on crash along Highway 75 in Glenpool on March 17th. Barlow was participating in a procession for a McAlester police captain who passed away. Barlow died three days later.

Investigators say the crash was caused by a man who is in the country illegally and didn't have a driver's license.
