State Legislators Welcome OU Athletes To The State Capitol

Athletes from the University of Oklahoma received some special recognition at the State Capitol on Wednesday.

Lawmakers honored the OU Women's Softball and Gymnastics teams for their national championships last season. They also recognized Head Softball Coach Patty Gasso for her success.

"If you have not seen it, the state of Oklahoma is falling in love with softball. Whether it's OU, OSU, anybody in Oklahoma they are following and they are coming out in groves," said Gasso.

Gasso led the team to its second straight national title last June.

The gymnastics team also won its second title in three years.
