OKC Police Identify Man Killed In Shooting Outside NE OKC Event Center

Oklahoma City Police have identified the man who was killed in a deadly shooting Sunday morning outside a northeast Oklahoma City event center.

Police said they responded to the scene at around 1:55 a.m. near Northeast 36th Street and North Lottie Avenue.

Officers found Bennie Simmons, 31, dead on the scene with gunshot wounds.

Investigators learned that the shooting started as a dispute in the parking lot between the suspect and the victim.

Police said they have no suspects in custody at this time.
