Holdenville PS Teacher Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI

A Holdenville Public Schools teacher was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence over the weekend, the district’s superintendent confirmed to News 9.

A probable cause affidavit revealed that on Saturday, police observed a white truck that appeared to be speeding southbound on Kingsbury Road. 

Police activated their radar, which revealed that the vehicle was allegedly going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, the affidavit stated.

Police initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and asked to see the driver’s license.

The driver was later identified as Brandon Kahle, the affidavit said.

After officers received Kahle’s license, it was discovered that his license had been revoked.

Kahle was then asked to sit in the officer’s patrol car where the officer said they smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage.

The affidavit said that Kahle admitted to the officer that he had consumed multiple alcoholic beverages prior to the traffic stop.

The officer conducted a field sobriety test on Kahle, which led the officer to believe that he was under the influence of alcohol.

Kahle was transported to the Hughes County Jail on the complaints of driving under the influence and driving under revocation.

Holdenville Public Schools Superintendent Randy Davenport said Kahle was arraigned on Monday and bailed out Monday afternoon.

Davenport said they haven’t had a meeting with Kahle, but they plan on meeting with him on Wednesday and take immediate action.
