Midwest City Animal Shelter Closed Due To Disease Outbreak

The Midwest City Animal Shelter has closed due to an outbreak of dog flu and strep, the shelter announced Monday.

Officials with the shelter said no one is allowed inside, and adoptions have been postponed.

Shelter staff said they will still respond to emergency service calls and help people through the process of reclaiming a lost pet.

According to the shelter, the closure will last about two weeks.
