Volunteers with the Rotary Club in Tulsa packed a shipping container full of medical supplies that will go to Ukraine.
"Surgical items, drapes, surgical gowns, surgical masks, gloves, lots of gloves, because we want to give them the best that we can," said Cathy Webster.
Webster said there are everyday items people desperately need.
"Every day medical supplies, a lot of diapers, the supply chain, horribly interrupted. We thought our supply chain was interrupted here, well they can't get these every day needs," she said.
Webster said the supplies will first go to Poland and then into Ukraine, to areas where they are most needed.
She said they even sent special messages inside the shipping container to let Ukrainians know they are happy to help.
"On the back of the very last items put in the container are signs to the Ukrainians, people who are opening the containers showing our love and support for them," she said.
She said this is the 13th shipping container they've sent and they don't plan to stop.
"The war is ongoing. The needs are still high, and they need to be met the best of our ability," she said.
Webster said the supplies should be there in about three weeks.
