Fisherman's Body Found On Neosho River, Authorities Say

A fisherman's body was found on the Neosho River on Thursday afternoon near Locust Grove, authorities said.

Crews recovered his body around 2:50 p.m. on April 6, in about five feet of water just on the downstream side of the low water dam, authorities said.

A search for the man began Thursday morning, after officers received reports that a man in his 20s was fishing on the rocks when the water rose up.

Authorities have not yet released details on the identity of the man.
