9 - It was a wild ride on the interstate Monday morning for a person on a stolen golf cart. Chickasaw Lighthorse Police were in pursuit of the cart when it merged onto Interstate 44. The driver was arrested.
No word on charges.
8 - Tax day is one week away, April 18. The IRS reports an uptick in scams against people filing this year. They urge caution.
7 - Love's Travel Stops says it's investing one billion dollars into upgrading its country stores across the U.S. This will go towards 200 locations over the next 5 years.
6 - President Joe Biden has signed a Republican-authored bill terminating the COVID-19 national emergency. Former President Donald Trump first declared the national emergency March 13 2020,
5 - The Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the New Orleans Pelicans in their first Play-In Tournament game Wednesday. OKC must win the next two games to get into the NBA play offs.
4 - A Holdenville man remains trapped in a caved-in trench this morning. Police say the man was working on a water line 30 feet down when it collapsed in on top of him.
3 - Oklahoma gas prices are up nearly a quarter compared to this time last month. Experts say the nationwide jolt is due to OPEC announcing it will cut foreign oil production by more than a billion barrels a day.
2 - Five people and the shooter are dead and 8 others injured after a bank shooting in Louisville, Kentucky, Monday. Police said the shooter interned at the bank for three summers before being hired in 2021.
1 - More than 9,000 Yukon Students are back in classes today. The district said the student behind a potential threat was taken into custody. District officials report the student ran away from home with an unloaded AR-15. In a message to parents, the district said the student has been identified and apprehended. There is extra security on all campuses today.
