OCC Warning Oklahomans Of Scammers Impersonating Commission

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission warns Oklahomans of scammers posing as the commission.

The OCC said residents are getting false calls that there has been a recall on a defective electric or gas meter, with the caller demanding payment to fix it.

The caller ID lists the caller as the OCC, but the commission said it is not them.

Officials said the scammers may be targeting businesses, and if you get a call like this, to immediately hang up.
