The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Monday that quarterback Jalen Hurts has signed a five-year contract extension with the team.
The team posted on it's Twitter page that Hurts signed an extension that keeps him in Philadelphia through the 2028 season.
NFL Network Reporter Ian Rapoport said Hurts agreed to a five-year, $255M contract that makes him the highest-paid player in NFL history.
ESPN's Adam Schefter says the contract includes $179.304 million in guaranteed money.
Hurts is coming off a season where he led the Eagles back to the Super Bowl with 3701 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns and 13 rushing touchdowns.
