The Green Country nonprofit '180 Disaster Relief' is helping families impacted by recent tornadoes. The group is getting ready to send volunteers to Arkansas and Mississippi.
On April 29th the first group will be deploying to Rolling Fork, Mississippi and other surrounding areas hit by an F4 tornado last month.
The goal is to go into communities immediately affected by natural disasters to help in long-term recovery efforts.
The group will bring in supplies, food, and water. Leaders of the organization need more people to volunteer for things like helping clear debris and cooking for people in need.
Terry Henshaw, President of 180 Disaster Relief, says when disaster strikes, their efforts make a big difference especially for people hurting financially.
Volunteers can help out on three, six, or 10 day trips. For more information on how to volunteer, Click Here.
