OCPD Identify Victim, Arrestee In Fatal NW OKC Overdose

Oklahoma City Police have identified the victim of a fatal overdose from Saturday near Northwest 10th Street and North Portland Avenue.

OCPD said they responded to scene where they found one person, identified as 47-year-old Christopher Drake, unresponsive.

Authorities said 42-year-old Joshua Askins had called the department and remained on scene. Officers said Askins indicated he had purchased fentanyl he and the Drake were using at the time of the Drake's overdose.

Drake was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Askins was interviewed on scene and later booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of first-degree murder.
