Norman Police Offer Parking, Traveling Advice For Weekend Events

The Norman Police Department has provided some advice for those who are traveling to Norman this weekend for any of the events.

Police ask that anyone who travels to the events this weekend to plan their travel route ahead of time, arrive early, park legally and enjoy their time.

James Garner Avenue will be closed between Main and Eufaula streets from 6 p.m. Thursday through the early morning hours on Sunday for the Lions Club Carnival.

Crawford Avenue will be closed between Gray and Main streets from 6 p.m. Thursday through the early morning hours on Sunday.

Main Street between Porter and Santa Fe avenues will be closed for all traffic from noon on Friday through the early morning hours on Sunday.

Jones, Peters and Crawford Avenue between Gray and Comanche streets will be closed on Friday and will remain closed through Sunday.

Roads that directly surround the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium will be closed Saturday until the end of the Fill the Stadium event.
