Possible Road Rage Shooting Leaves 2 Injured, Suspect Still Unknown

Oklahoma City Police are investigating a double shooting that possibly stemmed from a road rage incident.

Police responded to gunfire reported near Northwest 15th Street and North Drexel Boulevard. Once on scene police found a woman with a gunshot wound to her head, and a man who had been shot in the leg.

Residents and business owners reported an explosion of gunfire.

“Me and my wife were standing outside the restaurant, we heard nine shots go off,” said Jordan Smith.

The sound of gunfire drew residents and business owners out into the street.

“I heard the shots go off, bop, bop, bop, bop. bop, bop, like nine times,” said resident John Bashaw.

“At first we thought someone was playing around with fireworks or something, until we heard sirens and helicopter,” said Smith.

Police, firefighters, and EMTs arrived, finding a man and woman outside a silver vehicle with gunshot wounds.

The vehicle sustained a bullet hole to its back windshield.

“I thought I heard a couple screams after the shots,” said Bashaw.

While police did not share any suspect information, multiple neighbors told News 9 they saw a red car circling the neighborhood seconds after the shots rang out.

One resident's doorbell camera captured the silver car speeding by just seconds after witnesses reported gunfire.

EMTs were later seen treating two gunshot wound victims near the same vehicle that was found parked at the edge of a neighbor's driveway.

Residents said they'd never seen the car before.

Police have not released any suspect information. They said the female victim was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
