1 Dead After Semi Crash In El Reno

One person is dead after a crash involving a semi Wednesday afternoon in El Reno, Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

El Reno Police said they responded to the scene at around 12:40 p.m. near East Highway 66 and South Radio Road.

Police said a sedan was traveling northbound on Radio Road when they failed to stop for the stop sign and crashed into the side of the semi-tractor.

The driver of the sedan was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The semi-tractor driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch on the highway heading eastbound.

The semi then caught fire and burned, but the driver escaped and didn't suffer any injuries.

Police have not yet identified the victim in this crash.
