Jesse McFadden, a convicted first-degree rapist who had been released from jail early, was due back in court the same day officials said he murdered 6 people, including his wife, before turning the gun on himself. The Department of Corrections has released a 405-page document detailing his time in prison.

McFadden’s Oklahoma Department of Corrections record shows he was caught with a cellphone in 2016 while he was serving time for his first-degree rape sentence.
McFadden served 17 years of his 20-year sentence for raping a teenage girl.
“It was an 85 percent crime, so he definitely was never going to get out before he served that, but through the programs that he took and the level that he was he obtained credits at like 45 days per month,” Kay Thompson with Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
McFadden’s records show he got his GED in prison, and it also details his violations. Those violations range from being caught with cigarettes, fighting with other inmates, and getting caught with this cell phone in 2016.
An affidavit said McFadden was using that phone to talk to a teenage girl. They found sexual conversations between the two along with graphic photos and images. McFadden was facing two charges, soliciting a minor and pornography, when he was released in 2020.
“We cannot hold someone in prison for a crime they are not convicted of. We investigate what happens within our facilities and then we turn it over to the proper authorities to file the charges, the DOC themselves cannot do that,” Thompson said.
When he was released, he registered as a sex offender, and he signed off on a list of requirements. It also lists that he would be living with mother, stepfather, and his brother.
The DOC report ended when McFadden was released. The only mention of his wife, who was also killed, is in a visitor log. Court documents said their one year anniversary would've been May 26th.
