9 - Following last month's EF-2 Shawnee tornado, Oklahoma Baptist University’s graduation has been moved to Oklahoma City. It'll take place this Saturday at First Southern Baptist Church.
8 - U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia says a man with a baseball bat walked into his Fairfax office, asked for him, and assaulted two workers. Fairfax City Police say the man is in custody and the victims are being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
7 - The Major County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men. They say the pair may be connected to a credit card skimmer installed on the gas pump at the Ames Co-Op.
6 - Oklahoma Natural Gas is seeking a $1.55 monthly rate hike they say in part for infrastructure replacement. The request could take effect this fall and comes after a previous rate increase and a monthly charge for the 2021 winter storm.
5 - A big road closure this weekend; I-40 will shut down between I-35 and Choctaw Road starting at seven Friday night running util early Monday morning for road and bridge repair.
4 - Today President Joe Biden will discuss the debt limit with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and congressional leaders at the White House. The U.S. Treasury is warning the Government could run out of cash as soon as June 1 if there is no agreement.
3 - The FBI is under sharp criticism over its investigation into alleged collusion between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia. Special Council John Durham's four-year investigation found the FBI and DOJ failed to follow standard practices in opening the investigation into the former president.
2 - State investigators are looking into an officer involved shooting in Canute near Elk City. The shootout happened after a chase just south of Canute. Investigators say the suspect shot at police before the suspect was shot and killed.
1 - Republican leaders at the state capitol have announced what they call a historic education deal. The deal includes a half billion-dollar boost to the education funding formula -- plus $3,00-to-$6,000 teacher pay raises, paid maternity leave, $10-million dollars to a reading literacy program -- and $150 million to boost school security statewide.
