Oklahoma Legislature Calls For Concurrent Special Session

Lawmakers from both the Oklahoma House and Senate have called for a special concurrent session.

The special session will begin on Wednesday.

This session will allow lawmakers to finalize the 2023 budget and meet after the constitutional adjournment date of May 26, if it’s necessary.

The call for the special session is due to the following:

1. Appropriation of funds for the annual state budget for Fiscal Year 2023 and 2024.
2. Legislation related to implementing and administering budget-related funds.
3. Expenditure of federal funds pursuant to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
