Armed Man Fatally Shot By Shawnee Police, OSBI Investigates

A man is dead after a shooting involving Shawnee Police on Wednesday, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Shawnee Police said they responded to the scene at around 2:19 p.m. near East Farrall Street and South Minnesota Avenue after reports of a man pointing a firearm at vehicles.

Police engaged in contact with the man who then pointed a firearm at officers before shots were fired.

The OSBI said officers shot and killed the man.

An investigation is currently underway.
