Saturday marks 10 years since an EF5 tornado ripped through Moore and killed 24 Oklahomans.
Members of the Moor community are coming together Friday to share stories and honor the resilience and strength of those affected.
The event will have speakers from the City of Moore and Moore Publics schools.
The ceremony starts at 10 a.m. outside of Norman Regional in Moore.
Moore Public Schools had to rebuild two elementary schools and make repairs to a junior high following the May 20th twister.
The schools are holding special ceremonies on Friday for those impacted by the May, 2013 storms.
Highland East Junior High will have a plaque dedication at 3:30 p.m. and Plaza Towers Elementary will host a program at the memorial in front of the school at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Briarwood Elementary will also be having a come and go event starting tonight at 6:30. p.m.
