Stillwater Police Help In Arrest Of National Guardsman For Alleged Child Pornography

An Oklahoma National Guardsman was arrested and had an arraignment hearing on May 18 for alleged possession and distribution of child pornography.

Stillwater Police received a cyber tip on September 29 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, indicating a suspect was using the social media app Kik for uploaded or shared child sexual abuse material.

On May 11, an arrest warrant was issued for Alexander Stephenson, 28, of Stillwater for possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. Stephenson was arrested in El Paso, Texas.

Stephenson was set to deploy with the Oklahoma National Guard to Africa prior to his arrest.
