Oklahoma Inventor's Product In Hardware Stores Across The State

An Oklahoman's idea to make painting easier has become a reality, and is selling out in stores across the state.

The 'Cut N Edge Pro' is an edger and hard-case cover that goes over any 2-inch paint brush. The product hit Lowe's shelves, and is sold out in some stores while running low in others. 

"The feeling is so great, especially working with Lowe's," inventor and product creator JD Davis said. "They've been here for my whole journey creating this."

Davis said he wants to bring more jobs to the state by making the 'Cut N Edge Pro' in Sapulpa. 

"Everything you see is purely made in Oklahoma," Davis said.

Even with his accomplishments, Davis says he’s had his fair share of heartache. Davis' wife has been in-and-out of the hospital with kidney issues, and two months ago, his brother was killed outside of an LGBTQ club. 

"The last message he sent me a month before he passed was that he was proud of my business and he wished me the best," Davis said.

Despite the pain, Davis said he's moving forward with a new motivation. 

"Now that he's gone, I have to keep pushing and make this a growing win for us," Davis said. 

Davis said his next goal is to launch his product nationwide, with the support of his fellow Oklahomans.
