Emails were sent to employees of the Oklahoma State Department of Education, threatening termination if any documents or memos were shared with the press.

When asked about these emails in Friday’s weekly press conference, Gov. Kevin Stitt said, “That's the first I've ever heard of that. Here's the deal, you'll have to ask the education. I don’t even know who sent that email, or what it is. If you’re implying it’s coming from me, that doesn’t come from me.”

Also on Thursday, the State Board of Education held a meeting where Supt. Ryan Walters showed a new campaign video in which he shared his thoughts on teacher unions in the state.

News 9's Tevis Hillis will have the latest breakdown of these emails during News 9 at 6 p.m. on Friday.
