Man Arrested For Alleged Child Molestation Was Former Children's Minister At Norman Church

A Norman man arrested by police on Thursday evening was formerly a children's minister at a church in the city.

Investigators said 45-year-old Christopher Fourcade facilitated lewd acts on a child.

Fourcade was previously employed as the director of children's ministries at First Christian Church in Norman.

The church said that while they are aware of the investigation, they confirmed Fourcade is no longer employed at the church.

"While the investigation and arrest does not focus on any children from the church, our staff is fully committed to the truth," the church said in a release concerning the investigation. "It is the church's practice to never have adults alone with children, and we remain vigilant in that practice."

Fourcade was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on four complaints of lewd acts with a child and two complaints of possession of child pornography.
