Number one, the University of Oklahoma, beginning its quest Thursday for a third straight national title somehow didn't land anyone in top 3 Player of the Year finalists. But the Sooners do land number seven as D1-Softball All-American with 5 first teamers.
Headlining D1 Softball’s All-American selections, with seven OU players across the first and second teams, including five players on the first team.
It's no shock that Oklahoma leads all teams with seven selections, including five on the first team. Kinzie Hansen, Tiare Jennings, Alyssa Brito, Jayda Coleman and Jordy Bahl make the first team, with Grace Lyons and Haley Lee voted to the second team.
Meaning between OU and OSU, 9 All-Americans. SEC leads with 10.
Rachel Becker lands the first team, Pitcher Kelly Maxwell second, and Tallen Edwards All-Freshman.
OSU's first World Series game is Thursday 6 p.m. against Florida State.
Tennessee is the only other team with multiple selections, with a total of two.
OU begins the World Series against Stanford Thursday at 1:30.
