Man Arraigned On Murder Charge In Connection To Norman Shooting

The man arrested in connection to the deadly Norman shooting that happened last week was arraigned Monday.

Prosecutors said Mark Kottka is accused of shooting and killing Christian Gurrola during an argument in the middle of Main Street near 36th Avenue Southwest. 

Kottka, who is a former parole officer, is facing a first-degree murder charge. His bond was set at $4 million and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 29.

The victim's sister spoke out to News 9 and said, "My brother was a very good man, a coach to his daughters softball team, and he was ready to see his son play basketball in the next coming year in school."
