Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark claimed that the University of Oklahoma and Texas didn’t “carry the conference in recruiting.”

Nothing could be further from the truth about the departing teams off to the SEC: OU and Texas. Making it worse, his deputy commissioner sniped, "they'd rather get beat by Alabama than K-State."

The commissioner should have known the facts before uttering such nonsense.

The University of Oklahoma leads the conference with 54 players on the roster this season who are 4 or 5-stars.

Texas comes in second with 53 players who are 4 or 5-stars.

Texas Christian University comes next with 31 fewer studs than OU.

The University of Central Florida has 13.

Tied for fifth are Baylor and Texas Tech each with 11.

University of Houston has 8.

Oklahoma State University and West Virginia are tied with seven 4 or 5-star players.

Kansas, Iowa State and Cincinnati all have five 4 or 5-star players.

Kansas State, Big 12 champion, only has four 4 or 5-star players.

Brigham Young University has the least 4 or 5-star players in the Big 12.
