The Oklahoma attorney general is asking the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or FDIC, to scrap its plan to bail out two banks that failed earlier this year.

In a statement, Attorney General Gentner Drummond said it is a reckless move, something taxpayers would be footing the bill on.

Instead, Drummond said he wants the government to work on improving the banking industry moving forward.

Oklahoma is one of eight states against the plan.
