A metro mother who was killed allegedly by her ex-husband on Saturday has been identified by police.
Oklahoma City Police said 31-year-old Samantha Ainsworth was found severely injured in her home near Southwest 104th Street and South May Avenue.
Investigators said they found Ainsworth and had her transported to a local hospital, where she later died.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol also later issued an Endangered Person’s Alert after police said the victim’s ex-husband, Chase Ainsworth, who took off with the couple’s 5-year-old son, who was missing from Samantha Ainsworth's home.

Chase Ainsworth and his unharmed son were eventually found near Southwest 119th Street and South Rockwell Avenue.
"We're just trying to work through what happened and be as sensitive as we possibly can to their feelings," OCPD Public Information Officer Michelle Henderson said.
Sunday night, friends and family of Samantha Ainsworth gathered to honor their loved one during a prayer vigil, saying it is the beginning of a long road to healing.
