1 Injured In NW Oklahoma City Shooting; Brief Standoff Ensued With Suspects

One person was injured Monday morning in a northwest Oklahoma City shooting that led to a brief standoff nearby with the believed suspects, police said.

Oklahoma City Police said the shooting happened near North Council Road and Melrose Lane.

Police said one victim was located, and they were awake and talking when police responded.

After the shooting, the suspects fled to a nearby apartment complex where police surrounded the area and a brief standoff ensued.

Police said they told everyone in the apartment to come out, and nine people were reported inside.

Two of the nine people are believed to be the suspects in relation to the shooting, police said.

News 9 was on the scene when police took several people into custody.
