1 Dead After Oklahoma City Collision Involving Pedestrian, Police Say

One person is dead after being hit by a driver Thursday morning near South may Avenue and Southwest 56th Street in Oklahoma City, according to police.

Oklahoma City Police responded to the scene at around at 3 a.m., and found one person that had been struck by a vehicle.

OCPD closed South may Avenue in the are while they investigated, and began to search for the driver, who had fled the scene.

According to OCPD, they later found the driver. It is not known if they were taken into custody.
