Edmond Police Lieutenant Shoots, Kills Brother At Apartment Complex, Police Say

An Edmond Police lieutenant was arrested on a first-degree manslaughter complaint after police said she shot and killed her brother Thursday.

The Edmond Police Department said Lieutenant Jennifer Haddock made the call saying she shot her brother and was rendering medical aid at an apartment complex near East 15th and South Rankin streets.

Police said they responded to the scene at around 9:30 a.m. and began life-saving efforts before the 36-year-old man was pronounced dead.

After an investigation, Haddock was arrested on a first-degree manslaughter complaint, according to police.

Haddock was off duty at the time of the shooting and has been placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues, police said.
