Man Arrested After Woman Found Dead At Kingfisher Motel; Homicide Investigation Underway

A woman was found dead in a motel room Thursday in Kingfisher, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

At around 4:15 p.m., Kingfisher Police responded to the Cattleman’s Inn Motel near West Broadway Avenue and South Main Street where they found the female victim dead inside.

Police said they learned the woman was staying with Joseph Hayslip, 38.

Hayslip was arrested after he was interviewed by agents with the OSBI.

The 38-year-old suspect was booked into the Kingfisher County Detention Center on the complaint of first-degree murder.
