Search Underway For Driver Allegedly Involved In Drive-By Shooting, Police Pursuit Across Oklahoma City

A search is underway for the driver who was allegedly involved in a drive-by shooting and a pursuit Wednesday morning that spanned from Oklahoma City to Edmond.

Oklahoma City Police said they received a call about a drive-by shooting at an apartment complex near West Hefner Road and North Western Avenue. The call also noted that the victim knew the suspects.

How did the pursuit start?

When police arrived on scene, they saw a vehicle matching the caller's description and attempted to make a traffic stop, police said.

Police said the vehicle then accelerated at a high-rate of speed and a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit went across Oklahoma City before it reached Edmond city limits. A female passenger bailed out of the vehicle in front of an apartment building near East 2nd Street and South Bryant Avenue, police said. The female passenger was arrested and later identified as Brianna Clark, according to police.

What happened to the suspect?

Police said the pursuit then continued at the apartment complex where the driver then bailed out of the vehicle in the southwest corner of the apartments.

Officers on scene then engaged in a foot pursuit, but they lost site of him in a crowd of a breezeway.
