The back-to-school season is in full swing, and the Eastside Fresh Market, a farmer’s market in Oklahoma City, is helping to provide school supplies for students this year
The Eastside Fresh market is a local outdoor farmer's market that happens every Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
The market started last year at the Oklahoma County OSU Extension Office, and this year they're excited to give away school supplies for students on the East side.
The giveaway will happen on Tuesday, Aug. 15 during the normal market hours while supplies last.
Up until then, they're accepting donations of school supplies from anyone who wants to help out.
You can drop off any donations at their office off of 63rd Street in northeast Oklahoma City.
Brandi Buys, the market manager, said they're excited for the giveaway, "We're excited to bring more people into our market, to introduce our farmers and local producers to the community," she said, "And we're also always looking for ways to give back"
They want people to know that the EMBARK bus route 022 stops right by the market every 30 minutes through the evening hours.
Drivers trying to get to the market will encounter road closed signs on NE 63rd, don't worry, local traffic is able to get through so you can still get there.
