It's almost time for the 78th Annual Watermelon Festival in Rush Springs.
Over 50,000 pounds of watermelons start showing up in the small town.
It’s all starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, and people can see watermelon exhibits, stage shows, the tiny tot's contest, carnival arts and a free watermelon feed at 4 p.m.
There's a new contest this year: bring in something that tastes or smells like a watermelon. The best one wins.
For the reigning Watermelon Festival Queen, she cannot wait to see the community get together.
'This is something our town looks forward to every single year. This is something we hold dear to our hearts, and our entire community comes together," Lillyan Ball said.
