Crews began clearing the wreckage Monday afternoon from a plane crash that happened over the weekend in northeast Oklahoma City.
The single-engine plane crash happened near the northbound Interstate 235 ramp to I-44, and The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said all lanes should reopen Monday.
However, the westbound ramp to I-44 remains closed.
Family members of Dr. Richard Stanford, an Oklahoma City pediatrician, said he was in control of the aircraft when it came down near Interstate 235 and Northwest 63rd Street at around 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

Relatives of Stanford said he has been responsive to the family while hospitalized, however, he has multiple serious injuries.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, when Stanford's plane came down, the aircraft struck nearby power lines and started a fire, which was later extinguished.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the crash.
